Get in your feelings by noticing which habits cause you to drift, producing a manifesting effect! Your feelings allow you to understand that you are the cause and effect of all that happens in our worlds. (I AM Discourses, The Ascended Master St. Germain,1935)
Your World Reflects What You Believe
What do we mean by our world? If you were to stand up in the middle of the room with your arms outstretched as far as you can go. Spin, slowly turning your body, making a 360-degree circle. This is your immediate world, give or take a few feet, and we, through the law of attraction, act like a magnet for certain things that come into our immediate space as the manifestation of the thoughts and words we put out in the universe.
Personal Reflection
I am sharing this because it took me going through repeated circumstances and conditions to acknowledge and accept this fact and be willing to change my thoughts and speech to attract circumstances that work in my favor and not cause THE H.A.D. EFFECT. Am I at that point yet? Not fully, but I am progressing with feeling and intent in the positive direction to get stronger and achieve accomplishments daily. The desire is to share and help others benefit and notice what causes those drifts in their lives. Looking at the H.A.D. effect will help you arrive at some root causes of neglecting to execute your gifts, ideas, and talents.
Habit & Drifting Defined
Habit comes from two Latin words, habere, and habitus. Habere means “to have”. Habitus means “condition or state of being”. It also comes from the French word habit, which means clothes. (Dictionary App, IMac, Wikipedia)
Drifting comes from “Old English drifan “to compel or urge to move, impel in some direction or manner; to hunt (deer), pursue; to rush against” (class I strong verb; past tense draf, past participle drifen), from Proto-Germanic *dreibanan (source also of Old Frisian driva” I lead, impel, drive (away),” Old Saxon driban, Dutch drijven, Old High German triban, German treiben, Old Norse drifa, Gothic dreiban “to drive”), perhaps from PIE root *dhreibh- “to drive, push,” but it may be a Germanic isolated word.”
The Mindset Shift Custom
Did you have an epiphany yet? Habit and drifting are inducing methods that influence people. Napoleon Hill states that individuals allow and believe they are controlled by circumstances outside their minds (Outwitting The Devil, 2011). You can form your own definition from the two words listed above.
My Interpretation of The HAD Effect
habit & drifting: a condition or state of being that is clothed by our continual actions in a certain direction or manner.
In particular, the inducing methods of habits that cause us to drift have their root causes in our reaction and response to certain experiences and stimuli that produce an effect. Something happens when one hits a bump in the road in fulfilling talents, ideas, and dreams.
Drifting Caused by Habits
You will drift towards those mental habits that you formed over the years if you don’t stop them. That is one of the aspects of the subconscious mind. These are some of the thought patterns you may recognize as drifts. They are as follows:
- Blaming yourself/others
- Feeling unworthy/inadequate
- Negative self-talk
- Self-Pity – “The Why Bother Attitude?”
- Avoiding others
- Accepting Limitations
- Outside Influences caused this
- Going through F.A.D. – Fear and Doubt
My research has shown that these behaviors have their root cause in experiences that we clothed with feelings. That’s why we must get into our feelings to learn about ourselves and begin to change the course and direction of our lives.
Habits & The Vagus Nerve
It’s all about the feeling. Most motivational speakers echo this sentiment because it is true. Charles Hanel provides very detailed writing on how thoughts affect feelings in his book, The Master Key System (Charles Hanel, 1916). In fact, the Vagus Nerve and the rest of the nervous system respond to register that feeling from the 5 senses. Its name derives from the Latin meaning, “wandering.” Go figure! If you find your thoughts and feelings wandering, transform them by changing and recalling a fulfilling moment that occurred in your life. Dwell on the experience.
Applying the H.A.D. Effect to Produce Our Desired States of Achievement
- Ask yourself this question, Who Am I?
- Answer with two words, “I AM”.
- Repeat those two words over and over while focusing on your goal.
- After your body goes through a different feeling after repeating these words, state your goal as if you have already accomplished it.
- I AM ….Whatever your goal is. (“You must be business in repeating the call”, Serapis Bey The I AM Discourses)
- Recognize the feeling of the wish fulfilled and register the feelings.
- Take 3 deep breaths.
- At the end of the 3rd breath, before inhaling.
- Focus that feeling on the solar plexus area where your 2 nervous systems meet.
- You will feel a sensation of energy go throughout your body.
- Make a note to go back to those connecting moments in your life that may have caused the negative aspect of the H.A.D. effect.
- Give thanks to the Almighty Universal Intelligence for having already fulfilled your dream.
- Listen to a motivating song.
- Push forward and get going where you left off. As James Brown sang, “Get Up Offa That Thing.”
Love & The H.A.D. Effect
Charles Hanel states that “Thought is creative power.” (The Master Key System, 1916) If thought is creative power, then the feeling is also power; love is the creative power that makes it all happen. Part 2 will deal with the Zone from which we choose to operate in the H.A.D. Effect. Keep pushing forward, building the momentum, acting, and moving in a way that shows it is impossible to fail! – Dorothea Brand
Here’s the link to my Apple Playlist, where I uploaded songs and speeches that came to mind over the years as I synthesized the information into the H.A.D. Effect. The songs represent moments in my experience that I used to help me get through and overcome certain experiences from the H.A.D. Effect. The content added is as clean as Apple Music defines it to be. Stay tuned for part 2.
